R & D SPECIALTIES LLC. Odessa, Texas, United States

About this position

Description:

R&D Specialties is seeking an experienced Quality Systems Manager to lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of our quality management system.

This individual will be responsible for ensuring products, processes, and services consistently meet customer, regulatory, and industry requirements while driving a culture of quality throughout the organization.

The Quality Systems Manager will partner closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Operations, and Leadership teams to establish best-in-class quality standards and support strategic growth initiatives.

  • Develop, implement, maintain, and improve the company's Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Establish and monitor quality objectives, KPIs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lead internal audits, supplier quality evaluations, and customer quality assessments.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards, customer specifications, UL requirements, and regulatory obligations.
  • Manage nonconformance, corrective action, and preventive action (CAPA) processes.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and drive effective corrective actions for quality issues.
  • Partner with engineering and production teams to improve product quality and manufacturing processes.
  • Develop and maintain quality procedures, work instructions, and documentation controls.
  • Oversee inspection and testing programs for fabricated panels, integrated systems, and custom assemblies.
  • Monitor supplier performance and collaborate with vendors to improve quality outcomes.
  • Lead customer complaint investigations and ensure timely resolution.
  • Train employees on quality principles, processes, and best practices.
  • Prepare and present quality performance reports to company leadership.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of progressive quality management experience in manufacturing, industrial equipment, electrical systems, automation, or related industries.
  • Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems and quality assurance methodologies.
  • Experience leading audits, corrective action programs, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Proven ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and quality documentation.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work effectively across multiple departments and levels of the organization.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with electrical control panels, switchgear, automation systems, or industrial electrical equipment.
  • Familiarity with UL 508A, industrial electrical standards, and oil & gas industry requirements.
  • ISO 9001 implementation, certification, or management experience.
  • Experience managing supplier quality programs.
