Overview of the Position:

Nova 401(k) Associates is looking to fill Associate Account Manager (Customer Service) positions. The role will begin in January 2027. Associate Account Managers provide clients support on 401(k) issues over the phone. For example, Associate Account Managers may assist clients with census submission questions, submitting Form 5500, and other issues related to their 401(k) plan.


Associate Account Managers receive paid training. Nova supports Associate Account Managers obtaining industry credentials by paying for study time, exams, and professional membership fees. Excellent performers who obtain a QKA designation will be eligible to apply for other positions after 18 months. The Associate Account Manager will be required to work five days per week from our Houston, TX office.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a high level of client service for team-based Solo(k) Services; client base not assigned
  • Manage and prioritize workload towards weekly goals in a results-oriented team environment
  • Consult with clients regarding plan operation, design, and upgrading platforms
  • Follow-up by phone with clients about missing items
  • Assist firm-wide clients via the phone, video conference, or email with census submission issues, submitting Forms 5500, simple 401(k) questions, resetting passwords, troubleshooting web access, etc.
  • Collaborate with account managers and others to ensure a positive client experience
  • Document all client interactions in our workflow management system
  • Assist with other assigned tasks to balance workloads and receive well-rounded training
  • Perform work according to Nova policies and procedures
  • Complete assigned training
  • Work towards obtaining an industry designation

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Customer service experience a plus
  • Excellent written communication skills and ability to compose a professional email
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and knowledge of phone etiquette
  • Excellent time management, organizational skills, and ability to multi-task
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and comfortable using a computer
  • Knowledge of VOIP phone systems a plus
  • Help desk experience a plus
  • Committed to lifelong learning and coachable

Salary and benefits:

  • Base Salary $55,000 - $60,000
