Job description

We are seeking an enthusiastic individual who wants to work with children in a fast-paced and interactive environment. The ideal person has a background working with young children (3-6 years old) and is an experienced leader. As a part of the leadership team, you will support a staff of indoor attendants and instructors. You will also be directly involved in our primary business of introducing children to skiing/snowboarding for their first time. Skills including; communication, organization, problem solving, and the ability to multitask while interacting with employees and guests of Ski + Snowboard School are must-have skills.

5 days/week
Approximate Work Dates: 11/16/26 through 04/07/27
Daily Responsibilities:
  • Work with the Children's Manager to supervise instructors, Indoor Attendants, Chef, and Snow Camp Instructors.
  • Facilitate/attend appropriate instructor line-ups and morning meetings.
  • Assign classes to instructors using ProCard and duties to indoor attendants.
  • Greet children and parents and facilitate the check-in process. Ensure each child is signed in and out.
  • Provide a welcoming and safe environment for our youngest guests.
  • Uses PSIA/AASI methods to explain and demonstrate skiing/snowboarding.
  • Supports instruction and care for children including: dressing, using the bathroom, ski related games, activities, entertaining children, interfacing with instructors, supervisors, children and parents.
  • Ensure timely departure and return of classes.
  • Administrative Tasks such as; answering email, ensuring pay is accurate, scheduling, ordering necessary supplies, etc.
  • Communicate with instructors and indoor support staff weekly, daily, hourly, and minute to minute.
  • Address all staff, guest, and parent issues with compassion and professionalism.
  • Explain and Enforce Safety Protocols, Rules, and Regulations.
  • Oversee and organize all Children's Center food orders and daily menu planning in partnership with the Chef.
  • Review & track spending year over year, catalog, and submit all food order invoices for payment.
  • Report lunch numbers to CSS Chef and all other established outlets.
  • Assists in Ski School Rentals, Kitchen, and/or Snow Camp as needed.
  • Assist with auditing and approving indoor staff wages, assuring pay is accurately updated on a daily basis.
  • Observe instructors and indoor staff to identify exceptional work performance as well as areas to improve to ensure the highest level of guest service. Deliver timely feedback.
  • Complete mid-season and end-of-season reviews for employees.
  • Attend all appropriate departmental and company-wide meetings.
  • Provide a guest experience that exceeds the guest's expectations.
  • Demonstrate and maintain risk management for employees and guests.
  • Respond to Incidents and Accidents professionally and quickly. Complete necessary paperwork.
  • Contact parents and arrange for child pick-up if they are not acclimating to ski school environment.

Qualifications:
  • Passion for working with young children (3-6 years old).
  • Ability to take direction and work independently.
  • Must be authorized to work in the USA. We are not sponsoring work visas at this time.
  • Strong communication skills; in-person, telephone, and text/email.
  • Works well with others; guests, instructors, supervisors, managers, directors, and other resort employees.
  • Ability to handle fast paced environment; multi-task.
  • Strong focus on safety and good decision making.
  • PSIA/AASI certification is required.
  • Leadership experience is prioritized.
  • Must be able to commit to 5 days/week throughout the entire season including busy holiday weeks/weekends.
  • Must be willing to work in inclement weather in a physical work environment.
  • High school diploma preferred.

Pay:
$2,240-$2,400 Bi-Weekly - Salary (Dependent on Experience)
