Job description

REQUIREMENTS:
  • 3+ years in specialty ski/snowboard retail; 1+ year in supervisory role.
  • Proven buying or merchandising experience (assistant buyer, category specialist, or rep support).
  • Advanced proficiency in Yellowdog, Lightspeed, or similar POS; intermediate Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
  • Familiarity with brand B2B portals.
  • Preferred working knowledge of DIN settings, waist widths, rocker profiles, and boot flex indices.
  • PSIA/AASI certification or equivalent tuning experience a plus.
  • Exceptional communicator; able to translate technical specs into guest-friendly language.
  • Thrives in fast-paced, seasonal flux; available for weekend/holiday shifts.
  • Ability to stand, walk, frequent bending, lifting up to 25-50 pounds, and reach.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:
  • Open/close the store; oversee daily operations, visual merchandising, cash reconciliation, and security protocols.
  • Lead, train, and schedule our team of seasonal and year-round sales associates.
  • Conduct regular product knowledge sessions on hardgoods, soft goods, and tuning services.
  • Model exceptional customer service; resolve escalated guest issues with empathy and efficiency.
  • Attend regional rep previews, ISPO/Outdoor Retailer (virtual or in-person), and brand showrooms.
  • Perform audits and analyze sell-through reports, POS data, and competitor assortments to recommend SKUs, price points, and quantities.
  • Manage inventory accuracy via POS audits and cycle counts.
  • Ensure compliance with brand MAP policies, warranty procedures, and safety regulations.
