We are hiring for aGeotechnical Project Managerto join our team on a full-time, direct basis at our office inPittston, PA.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Prepare geotechnical engineering proposals and construction inspection and testing proposals.
  • Oversee staff for geotechnical projects, including field explorations, laboratory testing programs, advanced bearing capacity/settlement analysis, deep foundations, slope stability analysis, and other geotechnical analyses.
  • Oversee staff performing inspection and testing during construction.
  • Interface with clients and ensure quality timely service.
  • Successful candidate will be responsible for managing construction observation and materials testing projects.
  • Managing existing clients and developing new clients.
  • Developing proposals.
  • Performing and reviewing geotechnical calculations.
  • Drafting and reviewing geotechnical reports

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering-oriented discipline (preferably a BS in Civil, Geotechnical, or Structural Engineering).
  • 8+ years of professional experience working in Engineering
  • PE license in Pa or able obtain PE within 6 months of their start date.

Preferred Attributes:

  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients, contractor, owner, regulatory agencies
  • Ability to develop budgets and geotechnical scopes, ability to develop comprehensive calculation packages suitable for review by regulatory agencies
  • Advanced knowledge of soil mechanics and foundation design as well as slope stability and geotechnical instrumentation
  • Knowledge of IBC and Construction testing (e.g., concrete, masonry, fireproofing, structural steel, etc.
  • Experience in dam design/analysis
  • Experience with local DOT methods and procedures. (e.g., DelDOT, MDSHA, DDOT, NJDOT, PADOT)
