Trueline is seeking an
Assistant Project Manager / Concrete Estimator to join their team in Anaheim, CA with a respected specialty concrete and masonry contractor known for tackling complex structural and architectural projects.

This is an outstanding opportunity for an early-career construction professional who wants to grow into project leadership while learning from experienced mentors. The ideal candidate brings strong construction fundamentals, excellent communication skills, and a desire to learn the business from a builder's perspective rather than simply managing paperwork.

What You'll Do as the Concrete Estimator / Assistant Project Manager:

  • Assist with estimating structural and architectural concrete and masonry projects
  • Perform quantity takeoffs using On-Screen Takeoff, Bluebeam, and related software
  • Review drawings, specifications, and project documents to support bid preparation
  • Assist with project management activities from award through closeout
  • Support the preparation and management of RFIs, submittals, and change orders
  • Coordinate with project teams, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers
  • Monitor project costs, schedules, and documentation
  • Develop strong client relationships through proactive communication and service
  • Participate in project meetings and assist with project planning efforts
  • Learn and implement the company's proven project management and estimating processes
  • Collaborate with field and office teams to ensure successful project execution
  • Contribute to a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement

Must-Haves as the Concrete Estimator / Assistant Project Manager:

  • 3-5 years of experience as an Assistant Project Manager, Project Engineer, Estimator, or similar construction role
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Experience managing project documentation, RFIs, and change orders
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Detail-oriented mindset with excellent organizational skills
  • Comfortable working independently while collaborating with a team
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Strong sense of accountability and ownership

Nice-to-Haves as the Concrete Estimator / Assistant Project Manager:

  • Experience with concrete, masonry, structural concrete, or specialty subcontracting
  • Procore experience
  • Bluebeam experience
  • On-Screen Takeoff experience
  • CAD experience
  • Construction Management, Engineering, or related degree
  • Field construction experience
  • Experience working for a specialty subcontractor

This Position Offers:

  • Competitive compensation up to approximately $130,000 based on experience
  • Annual salary increases
  • 401(k) with 4% company match after one year
  • Medical coverage with the company paying approximately 85% of employee-only HMO premiums
  • Unlimited PTO philosophy focused on performance and accountability
  • Mentorship from experienced construction professionals
  • Clear path into Project Management and independent project ownership
  • Flexible, team-oriented work environment
  • Opportunity to work on challenging and highly visible construction projects
  • Strong culture built around teamwork, accountability, and craftsmanship
