Job DescriptionOverview

The Project Manager is responsible for the full leadership, planning, execution, and delivery of assigned projects or work scopes, with overall accountability for achieving objectives safely, on schedule, within budget, and in full compliance with contractual requirements. This role provides strong direction and integration across engineering, procurement, manufacturing, project controls, quality assurance, commercial, and other key functions to ensure cohesive and efficient project delivery.

Accountable for executing responsibilities in accordance with the Levels of Authority Policy and Nuclear Management System, such as approvals for timesheets, overtime, project changes, and procurement authorizations (RAPs). Serves as the primary customer point of contact, ensuring ongoing satisfaction.

The Project Manager exercises project management leadership, establishes and enforces project specific requirements, manages project staff, and drives adherence to all regulatory and quality program requirements. Accountable for project performance, the Project Manager applies sound project management practices to proactively manage scope, risks, resources, issues, and stakeholder expectations, ensuring successful outcomes and a high level of customer satisfaction.

Your role
  • Establish and lead the project organization, including resource planning, staffing decisions, performance management, and oversight of project team members.
  • Prepare and managing budgets and ensure scope is performed in accordance with contractual, quality, and technical requirements.
  • Lead and direct all day-to-day project activities, ensuring performance across engineering, procurement, manufacturing, project controls, quality, and commercial functions, in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Develop and manage project scope, work breakdown structures (WBS), deliverables, estimates, and execution plans.
  • Serves as the primary interface with internal teams, clients, suppliers, and partners, proactively resolves issues and ensures effective communication and stakeholder alignment. Responsible for representing the company with customers and suppliers.
  • Drive project execution in accordance with the project execution plan, providing clear direction and fostering effective collaboration across team.
  • Lead contract and commercial activities, including contract development, and project change management.
  • Manage procurement, and subcontractor management scopes and processes.
  • Oversee and direct project controls, including scheduling, cost management, forecasting, KPI tracking, and risk management, taking proactive corrective actions to ensure delivery within approved baselines.
  • Ensure full compliance and accountability for safety, regulatory, and quality requirements.
About you
  • University Degree (e.g. type Business, Engineering or STEM should be relevant to the project scope).
  • 3-5 Years Experience in manufacturing, project engineering, project coordination, or project management related functions.
  • 8-10 years total experience recommended.
  • Experience in capital assets management project for Nuclear Power Plants is considered an asset.
  • Experience of working closely with multi-disciplinary engineering, manufacturing and procurement teams.
  • The ability to understand clients' requirements.
  • Ability to lead a delivery team in a positive and confident manner, demonstrating an appropriate level of knowledge, skills, and attitude.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills combined with sound business acumen and strong risk/commercial awareness to deliver profits.
  • An aptitude towards work winning through strong service delivery and understanding of bid process and different pricing models.
  • Demonstrates a proactive and flexible working attitude, is adaptable and responds positively in response to challenges.
