The Project Manager lll leads enterprise-critical programs and complex portfolios that significantly impact organizational performance, customer outcomes, and financial results. This role operates with a high degree of independence and authority, often managing multiple projects or programs simultaneously while guiding strategic execution and driving continuous improvement. The Level lll PM mentors lower-level PMs, supports PMO maturity, and actively contributes to business planning, resource strategy, and cross-functional leadership. This position requires exceptional communication, advanced project governance expertise, and the ability to manage risk and ambiguity across dynamic environments.


Responsibilities:
Manage multi-project portfolios or large-scale programs with complex interdependencies, organizational risk, and executive visibility.
Translate strategic objectives into program execution plans and ensure alignment with corporate goals, resource planning, and customer expectations.
Define and implement project governance structures, reporting cadences, risk management frameworks, and portfolio dashboards to monitor program health and performance.
Mentor and coach Level l and Level ll Project Managers; lead training sessions, and process walkthroughs in coordination with PMO leadership.
Serve as the principal point of contact for senior leadership, customers, and key stakeholders regarding project milestones, business risk, escalations, and status reporting.
Identify systemic risks across projects; design and lead enterprise-level mitigation strategies, decision gates, and scenario planning models.
Develop, track, and control complex program budgets; partner with Finance to analyze cost performance, ROI, and margin impact across multiple efforts.
Champion continuous improvement across the PMO by proposing, piloting, and institutionalizing best practices, KPIs, templates, and tools.
Coordinate across Engineering, Operations, Production, Supply Chain, and Executive teams to ensure cross-functional alignment, remove roadblocks, and optimize resource allocation.
Support or lead contract development, milestone structuring, commercial negotiations, and SoW enforcement on complex customer programs.
Lead customer communications for high-impact programs, manage difficult conversations, and ensure customer satisfaction while protecting business interests.
Drive formal change control processes across highly dynamic environments; facilitate complex negotiations and decision forums to resolve competing priorities.
Maintain deep knowledge of Nomad's product lines, engineering interfaces, and manufacturing constraints to anticipate challenges and ensure technically sound execution.

Basic Knowledge Desired:
Strong familiarity with project management software such as MS Project and / or other tracking methodologies.
Knowledge and understanding of project management requirements such as scheduling, financial analysis (direct & indirect labor, overhead, direct materials, expenses, etc.), resource allocation, and time management.
Expert understanding of project management best practices.


Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and arms to handle, feel, reach, or operate objects, tools, or controls.
The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, hear, and is occasionally required to sit.
The employee must frequently lift and/or carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Anything heavier than 50 pounds will require two people to lift / carry.
Specific vision abilities required by this job including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to distinguish individual colors.

Working Environment:
Fast-paced environment, open-concept office area, interacts regularly with Production.
The work environment is a partially environmentally controlled indoor environment. Depending upon the time of year, temperatures can fluctuate between 60F and 100F but is typically around 70F. There are times when working outside will be required.
The employee may be subjected to noise levels, ranging from low volume to loud and will be required to wear provided safety hearing devices from time to time, which will be provided.
The employee will be exposed to a variety of household/commercial chemicals that will require the employee to follow company rules/regulations outlined by that SDS.
All Team Members must wear provided OSHA approved eye protection at all times in manufacturing areas. The employee will be required to wear provided safety eyewear throughout the performance of their duties.
This position requires working off company premises due to traveling for clients & other business needs; travel requirement at least 20%.


Qualifications & Experience:
BA / BS degree in Business, Industrial Technology, Engineering, Management, or related field strongly desired.
PMP certification preferred
7-10 years of direct work in a project management capacity, including all aspects of process development and execution.
An equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed in the description may be substituted for the above requirements.
Valid driver's license in good standing.
