Summary: Client seeks a Building Management Systems (BMS) Project Manager to supervise and coordinate installation of BAS / BMS Systems projects in a construction environment. The individual must be capable of supervising installation subcontractors and coordinating related construction activities. Familiarity with controls, BMS, BAS, DDC, Building Automation, Building Management, EPMS and Energy Management Systems is preferred.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Scope The Project Manager is responsible for coordinating and managing multiple building automation installation projects while developing and maintaining positive customer relationships.

 Duties

  • Coordinate and manage multiple automation installation projects while remaining organized.
  • Maintain project accounting and contracts.
  • Develop and maintain a cooperative working relationship with members of the company, clients, subcontractors and other contacts.
  • Anticipate and be able to meet short and/or unpredictable deadlines.
  • Understand and conform to company policies and procedures.
  • Recognize and utilize the company’s resources effectively and efficiently.
  • Plan, organize and carry out assigned job responsibilities within established time parameters.
  • Maintain confidentiality.
  • Continuously seek to improve knowledge of required job skills and stay abreast of industry changes.

 Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5-years project management experience in HVAC control and automation or equivalent industry experience in the NYC Metro area.
  • Extensive computer and automation experience.
  • Thorough understanding of the construction process.
  • Demonstrated track record of completing projects on schedule and within budget.
  • Excellent organizational and oral/written communication skills.
  • Competent working with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of electrical wiring and schematics.
  • Able to write, edit and understand sequences of operations.
  • Able to read and understand project drawings and specifications.
  • Have excellent oral/written communication skills and be able to communicate effectively with consulting engineers regarding design, implementation and commissioning.
  • A knowledge of Automated Logic controls preferred.
