Overview

Leads a team (of change managers, project managers, and agile roles) responsible for managing the execution of enterprise programs and business projects by overseeing planning, coordination, and delivery of workstreams and tasks. Translates strategic objectives and project goals into actionable plans, ensuring alignment with governance standards, delivery frameworks, and timelines. Partners with business units, cross-functional teams, and stakeholders to monitor progress, resolve issues, manage risks, and support change initiatives and operational improvements. Develops and mentors team members, fostering collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. Reports to a Manager II or higher. Strong people leader with transformation mindset, relevant work experienced in team's core functions (program and project management, change management, and SAFe agile delivery), and experience leading teams in these areas. Experience leading strategic change management efforts, delivering project management and change management, and maturing change management practices.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day execution of program and project workstreams that support enterprise initiatives and operational goals.
  • Translate objectives and goals into detailed plans, timelines, and deliverables for assigned teams.
  • Coordinate cross-functional activities, monitor progress, and ensure adherence to governance standards and delivery frameworks.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve issues, manage risks, and support successful delivery of programs and projects.
  • Apply program and project management tools and methodologies to track performance and report on outcomes.
  • Identify opportunities to improve execution efficiency, stakeholder communication, and team collaboration.
  • Lead and coach a team of analysts, coordinators, or specialists, supporting their development and performance.
  • Serve as a liaison between leadership and delivery teams to ensure alignment and execution continuity.
  • Monitor risks, issues, and dependencies within assigned workstreams; escalate and support mitigation strategies.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with internal processes, governance requirements, and delivery expectations.
  • May perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of work experience in program management, project management, or related experience, including cross-functional or enterprise initiatives and managing complex, multi-project environments.
  • 1+ years of management experience leading teams, programs, or projects.
  • Broad knowledge of core program and project management practices and the ability to apply them to mid-scale business-focused initiatives using frameworks such as Agile and Waterfall.
  • Experience leading and managing workstreams and teams that contribute to broader enterprise goals and deliver outcomes aligned with business objectives.
  • Proven ability to translate objectives into actionable tasks, timelines, and resource assignments for team execution.
  • Experience managing reporting, stakeholder updates, risk tracking, and contract/vendor deliverables.
  • Strong leadership skills in guiding team members, resolving execution challenges, motivating teams, and fostering collaboration across departments.
  • Skill in facilitating meetings, tracking milestones, preparing documentation, dashboards, and executive summaries, and escalating issues when needed.
  • Understanding of how performance impacts business outcomes, customer experience, and operational efficiency.
  • Advanced skill in using tools (e.g., Power BI, Smartsheet, Tableau, MS Project) to monitor progress, generate insights, and report status.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and support change initiatives within the program/project lifecycle.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Program Management, Project Management, Organizational Development, or related field, or equivalent combination of training, education, and experience
