THE WORK:
• You'll demonstrate project controls expertise gained from Utility New Gas Generation projects and provide direct oversight, coaching, and support to Project Controls Specialists throughout the project lifecycle.
• You'll integrate with and support the Project Management team to ensure successful execution of assigned projects.
• You'll promote safe behavior and ensure adherence to all safety rules on the project.
• You'll implement Accenture and client Project Management Standards in cost, schedule, scope, WBS, risk, and issues management to ensure projects achieve business goals on time and within budget.
• You'll ensure comprehensive project controls are in place-including cost, schedule, scope, and risk-and validate that contract agreements and contractor execution align with project controls requirements.
• You'll perform rigorous and independent project assessments to ensure compliance with the Stage Gate Process (SGP) and project management standards.
• You'll conduct training on clients' SGP, project management standards, implementation guides, and project controls disciplines such as Quantitative Risk Analysis (QRA).
• You'll assist in portfolio analysis, optimization, and reporting, including risk assessments for completing planned scopes of work in alignment with multi-year budget plans.
• You'll prepare and maintain cost reports and forecasts with Cost Analysts, validate Estimate to Completion and Estimate at Completion forecasts, and conduct contingency analyses and reporting.
• You'll perform schedule analytics to evaluate schedule quality, assess progress, monitor contractor compliance with schedule-related contractual requirements, and report performance.
• You'll collaborate with project managers and teams to identify, document, and mitigate risks, manage the Change Management process, and track approved project changes, with work performed in both office and field settings.
• You'll utilize project management and project controls expertise as well as business acumen and experience to provide SME-level project management, controls, and business case guidance to project team members.
Onsite at client site: The work location for this role is onsite with our clients and partners to enable delivery and cultivate our client relationships.
HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management, Project Management (or related field) OR 8 years equivalent/related work experience (in addition to the Minimum Experience requirement) in lieu of a degree
• 6 years minimum capital project controls experience on utility new gas generation projects or process industry (O&G, refining, chemicals, mining) projects of $300M or larger in project size
• Ability to perform field walkdown observations/inspection on foot across moderate to rough terrain and the ability to lift 25lbs overhead
• Experienced at an expert level with scheduling software packages and related analytics, spreadsheet-based analytics, and project and construction management fundamentals.
BONUS POINTS TO HAVE:
• Project controls experience on large scale capital projects.
• Experience of project controls implemented on projects executed under various types of contract agreements including EPC. Both contractor and owner construction project controls experience.
• Certifications from PMI and/or AACEi
• Cost, Schedule, Reporting Change Management, Contract Management and Risk Management Skills.
• Demonstrable experience in working on construction sites, engineering offices, fabrication sites, etc. to support project teams.
• Demonstrates experience in working with EPC Contracts.
$160,000 - $190,000 a year
