Job description

Leo is Amazon's low Earth orbit satellite broadband network. Its mission is to deliver fast, reliable internet to customers and communities around the world, and we've designed the system with the capacity, flexibility, and performance to serve a wide range of customers, from individual households to schools, hospitals, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in locations without reliable connectivity.
Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S

permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
This is a broad scoped position providing manufacturing engineering ownership of multiple mechanisms and assemblies for the project Kuiper satellite program. You will be supporting new satellite mechanisms early in the production phase, providing critical design for manufacturability input and supporting testing of these assemblies, while developing and implementing the plan to move from design/test into build/production.

This role will require a thorough understanding of fabrication processes, system design, and mechanical system assembly and test processes

You will own test campaigns to validate manufacturing processes for robustness, yield, and reliability scenarios. Transitioning into a production environment, you will strive to produce assemblies for the lowest possible cost and highest possible quality. This will include root causing problems that occur for the assembly to keep builds on schedule while also working on efficiency gains through tooling, automation, or design and process changes.
