As Project Expeditor, you will be responsible for providing administrative support for Project Managers and associated teams.
This Position...
Is under the direct supervision of the Operations Manager, and is tasked with soliciting, logging, monitoring, expediting, and communicating the information necessary to Project Managers and associated teams to estimate work, support and monitor labor, manage costs, and yield a satisfactory end product for customers of the Company.
Some examples of the work you might do includes:
  • Sets up and maintains project information in approved software to produce RFIs, submittals, transmittals, logs, correspondence, purchase orders, project billings, etc.
  • Expedites and organizes project vendor quotes, purchase orders and agreements, subcontracts, submittals, shop drawings and deliveries.
  • Prepares payment requisition billings, submits to the customer, tracks collections, and expedites payments to maintain positive cash flow.
  • Coordinates project close out information and maintains lien rights.
  • Expedites pricing from vendors and subcontractors, formulates proposals, and processes and logs customer change order requests, quotes, and contract changes.
  • Monitors job cost reports for inconsistencies and escalates them to the appropriate project manager.
  • Processes adjustments and changes to the forecast cost at completion.
  • Assists project managers with preparation for monthly project review meetings, as well as maintenance of all critical project files, drawings, permits, manuals, and close-out documents.
  • Develops and maintains professional internal and external relationships, with the goal of further enhancing the reputation and growing the business relationships of the Company.
  • All other duties as assigned.
What You Need...
  • 5+ years of industry-specific experience required.
  • Intermediate level knowledge of construction processes required.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel in particular).
  • Ability to communicate effectively (both verbally and written) with diverse audiences.
  • Capacity to work effectively both independently and within a team environment.
  • Strong organizational aptitude, interpersonal skills, and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree in Business or a construction-related field preferred.
