These roles manage scheduling workflows, drive schedule quality and consistency, support reporting and benchmarking initiatives, and provide leadership to scheduling personnel supporting multiple project areas.
The Lead Project Schedulers work closely with project leadership, construction management, engineering teams, manufacturing stakeholders, and scheduling staff to ensure schedules remain aligned with project milestones, operational constraints, installation sequencing, and reporting requirements.
These individuals will support scheduling strategy, schedule standardization efforts, forecasting activities, schedule analytics, and execution planning across highly complex industrial construction programs.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate scheduling personnel supporting construction and tool install project activities across multiple sites and functional areas.
- Coordinate scheduling team workload, task assignments, staffing support, vacation coverage, overtime planning, and resource balancing activities.
- Ensure scheduling deliverables, reporting requirements, and project updates are completed accurately and on schedule.
- Maintain oversight of schedule quality, schedule integrity, and compliance with project scheduling standards and best practices.
- Support onboarding and training efforts for new scheduling personnel, including system orientation, scheduling workflows, and operational processes.
- Develop and maintain scheduling procedures, work instructions, and process documentation supporting scheduling operations and reporting activities.
- Partner with project leadership to support long term scheduling strategy, reporting improvements, schedule integration processes, and roadmap planning initiatives.
- Coordinate directly with project stakeholders regarding schedule analysis requests, forecasting needs, milestone development, reporting enhancements, and schedule logic changes.
- Perform schedule benchmarking analysis, schedule health reviews, and high level schedule performance evaluations.
- Support development and maintenance of project indicators, dashboards, reporting platforms, and executive level schedule summaries.
- Provide leadership and guidance regarding scheduling standards, scheduling methodologies, and integrated project scheduling requirements.
- Support integration and alignment between scheduling systems, reporting tools, and project data environments while monitoring data consistency and issue resolution activities.
- Lead resolution efforts for schedule update conflicts, sequencing issues, logic discrepancies, and reporting inconsistencies.
- Perform QA/QC reviews of schedules to ensure accuracy, consistency, completeness, and schedule quality standards are maintained.
- Support new project startup activities including schedule development strategy, schedule assumptions, milestone structure, and integration planning.
- Provide scheduling input regarding implementation feasibility of new business processes, reporting workflows, and operational changes.
- Drive schedule recovery planning, schedule leveling efforts, and focused task force initiatives when required.
- Support resource loading activities, forecasting efforts, and workload planning initiatives.
- Provide backup coverage for scheduling team responsibilities as needed to maintain continuity and project support.
- Support project data integrity during schedule updates, imports, exports, and system integration activities.
- Coordinate implementation closeout scheduling activities and turnover reporting requirements.
