Description of Position

The Assistant Project Manager will assist with project leadership, planning, contract administration, coordination, and compliance to ensure the safe, quality construction of the Work of the Project, on schedule, within budget, proactively focused on Clientโ€™s expectations and concerns.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Reinforce and assist with CF Evans corporate safety, quality, and schedule / production management programs, as well as assist project leadership with planning and customer service programs, for the Work of the Project; Foster and ensure cooperative and collaborative partner relationships

  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding project-specific contract documents (esp. IFC drawings, specifications, submittals, etc.) for the Work of the Project; Share knowledge with project team

  • Assist with bidding, award, preparation, and execution of subcontracts and purchase orders to ensure the most efficient administration for the Work of the Project; Proactively identify and isolate matters of risk and expediently solve problems; Create, issue, and resolve RFIs and RFCOs promptly

  • Assist with preparation / management of: Contract and 3 week schedules; project controls for subcontract trade work, vendor-supplied materials, equipment, services, etc., and third party activities, including but not limited to pre-planning, monitoring, and inspection; bi-weekly Owner / Architect meetings and weekly and daily coordination meetings to ensure requirements for the Work of the Project are met; contingency plans; frequent Client, Architect, and project communicationsย ย ย ย ย ย 

  • Assist with cost control of Clientโ€™s budget, including cost estimating, cost reporting, cost breakouts, pay requests, cash flow analysis, change orders, and monthly project financials; Assist with change management leadership, accounting for costs attributed to all change events, non-conformance, delays, and rework for the Work of the Project; Ensure accurate and timely event documentationย ย ย ย 

  • Proficiently utilize and leverage technology tools and solutions to ensure consistent and reliable results, gain efficiencies, and improve project team performance

  • Reinforce and ensure daily goal setting and accountability with subcontractor and vendor partnerships by setting direction, aligning resources, and motivating and inspiringย ย 

Requirements of the Position

  • Education & Certification โ€“ Related education and/or experience; OSHA 30 completion card

  • Recommended Work Experience โ€“ 2-5 years relevant experience in multifamily construction

  • Physical Demands โ€“ Prolonged standing, sitting, walking, climbing, balancing, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching (with arms and hands), handling, talking, hearing, depth perception, lifting, vision (close, peripheral, depth, ability to adjust focus), and lifting/moving up to 35+ pounds

  • Working Conditions โ€“ Considerable local and non-local travel may be required; Work with a group and/or team; Frequent conflict situations may be present; Work after normal business hours; Potential hazardous work; Frequent exposure to extreme outside weather conditions and high levels of noise
