From safely delivering clean, reliable power to families and businesses across the province and cancer-fighting medical isotopes around the world to supporting challenging and innovative nuclear projects like our multi-year Life Extension Program. We are seeking Project Controls - Schedule/Planners for contract opportunities at the Bruce Power site through a contract partner. These dynamic opportunities require individuals who thrive in a fast paced and integrated team environment.

The Project Controls roles specific to scheduling and planning develop and maintain project schedules and baselines, ensuring compliance with procedures. Responsibilities include resource loading, critical path analysis, milestone tracking, and risk management. The role reviews contracts and change requests to align schedules and budgets, contributes to integrated schedules, and prepares project metrics such as earned value reports. Additionally, the planner supports decision-making for Project and Program Managers and plays a key role in Month-End Reporting and Phase Gate processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain project schedules and baselines, incorporating resource loading, critical path analysis, and progress tracking & monitoring of major milestones.
  • Analyze and validate schedule statuses, identify trends, and provide proactive recommendations to address risks and concerns.
  • Support the development of change requests to ensure alignment with implementation schedules and budgets.
  • Collaborate on integrated project schedules by coordinating Program and contractor schedules, including milestones for planned and unplanned outage work.
  • Produce and evaluate project metrics, such as earned value reports, to support effective decision-making for Project and Program Managers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • Three-year college diploma in an appropriate field (e.g. engineering, business, computer science) or equivalent education/experience.
  • 5+ years in project implementation (including construction) with proven experience in schedule and baseline management.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proficient with project management tools: Primavera P6, Eco Sys, Active Risk Manager (ARM), and Microsoft suite of tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Power BI); quick to learn new tools and technologies.
  • PMI - Project Management Institute or AACE - Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineers International Certification is considered an asset.
