Job description

Job Title: Accounting Manager
Location: Madison, WI
Salary Range: $90,000-110,000

Overview
We are seeking an Accounting Manager with experience in construction or a similar project-based industry to oversee day-to-day accounting operations and support financial reporting. This role will manage core accounting functions while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, CPA preferred
  • 5+ years of accounting experience within construction or a similar industry
  • Must have experience leading, mentoring and training an accounting team
  • Must have strong understanding of Project Accounting, percentage of completion, WIP and job costing
  • Oversee all Financial operations (AP, AR, GL and Payroll functions) while also participating in month end close, financial reporting, and external audits
  • Proficiency with ERP systems (Vista Viewpoint is a plus)
  • Advanced financial analytical, modeling (trends, variances), forecasting and Excel skills (pivot tables, Lookups, etc.)
