Job Description
The Senior Manager - Solutions Engineering is responsible for leading the strategy, development, and execution of the Solutions Engineering function, including team leadership, process development, and cross-functional alignment.
This role ensures the team effectively supports customer-facing solution development-from early engagement and requirements definition through solution design, documentation, deployment, and post-sales support.
Responsibilities
Product Management & Engineering Collaboration
  • Establish structured feedback loops to Product Management on market needs, product gaps, and emerging applications
  • Collaborate with Engineering to validate solution feasibility and guide minor product adaptations where needed
  • Influence product roadmap based on application insights and customer demand

Deployment & Post-Sales Support Oversight
  • Ensure effective support for system integration, commissioning, and troubleshooting
  • Drive continuous improvement in deployment success, reliability, and customer satisfaction
  • Monitor field performance and identify opportunities for solution optimization

Training & Commercial Enablement
  • Oversee development and delivery of technical training for Sales and commercial teams
  • Ensure consistent messaging around product capabilities and solution approaches
  • Build technical competency across the organization to support scalable growth

Operational Excellence & Performance Management
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for the Solutions Engineering function (e.g., win rates, time-to-solution, customer satisfaction)
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, and scalability
  • Manage resource allocation and prioritize activities based on business impact

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field required
  • 8-12+ years of experience in application engineering, design engineering, systems engineering, or related roles in automation or motion control
  • Prior experience leading or managing engineering teams preferred
  • Strong expertise in motion control systems, electric motors, drives, and gearing technologies
  • Proven ability to lead system-level solution development and integration in industrial or automation environments
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with Sales, Product Management, and Engineering
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills
  • Excellent communication and customer-facing skills
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving capabilities
  • Customer-focused mindset with the ability to balance technical and commercial considerations
  • Experience supporting New Business Development (NBD) and strategic customer engagements

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
  • Both Domestic and International Travel up to 20%
