Job Summary:
The Government Program Senior Manager is responsible for overseeing the development, administration, and monitoring of federally funded programs and projects. The role's primary responsibility will be to ensure that programs are eligible under local, state and federal regulations and adhere to the outlined program guidelines and procedures. The incumbent is expected to provide high-level expertise across a broad range of subject matter areas including project management, compliance and monitoring, federal reporting, procurement, and eligibility standards applicable for each project.
Job Duties:
โ€ข Develops, implements, and evaluates long-range program goals and objectives to align with agency missions
โ€ข Directs, analyzes, and supervises processes for large-scale, complex, or statewide programs
โ€ข Oversees substantial budgets, ensuring fiscal compliance and optimal allocation of resources
โ€ข Interprets, implements, and ensures compliance with laws, regulations, and public policy standards
โ€ข Serves as a liaison with government officials, internal teams, and external stakeholders; provides briefings and reports
โ€ข Monitors all internal program and project activities to ensure quality control and quality assurance and prepares for Federal audits of program activities
Supervisory Responsibilities:
โ€ข Provides complete oversight of program management staff to include grant managers, quality control specialists, case management, and administrative staff
โ€ข Supervises, coaches, and manages the performance of project managers, technical staff, and administrative staff
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Education:
โ€ข Bachelor's degree in business administration, political science, or finance, required
โ€ข Master's degree in business administration, political science, or finance, preferred
Experience:
โ€ข Five (5) or more years' experience working within with state and local governments, and the types of initiatives necessary to help them build their economy and culture, required
