Achievement Centers for Children is a Cleveland-based nonprofit organization that empowers children and adults with disabilities and their families to achieve and thrive. Through education, therapy, family support, recreation, and workforce development services, we create opportunities for individuals of all abilities to learn, grow, and live fulfilling lives.
We are seeking a Program Manager, Overnight to provide leadership for our Overnight Respite and Camp programs at Camp Cheerful. In this role, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of overnight recreation programs, supervise staff, ensure exceptional participant experiences, and promote a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment for campers, families, and employees.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced leader who is passionate about recreation, operations, and serving individuals with disabilities.
Hours: Full-time, first shift with evenings and weekends as program needs require
Working Days: Schedule varies based on program operations
Hours per Week: 40 hours per week
What You Will Do
  • Oversee the daily operations of overnight respite and camp programs
  • Coordinate staffing schedules and ensure appropriate coverage for all programs
  • Supervise, coach, and support program staff while fostering a positive team culture
  • Assist with recruiting, hiring, onboarding, training, and staff development
  • Ensure programs are organized, well prepared, and delivered in accordance with organizational standards
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for participants, families, and caregivers regarding program needs and concerns
  • Collaborate with internal departments and community partners to support program success
  • Monitor program budgets, expenses, and operational resources
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, schedules, and program documentation
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, licensing requirements, and safety standards
  • Support incident reporting, risk management, and continuous quality improvement initiatives
  • Assist with special events, seasonal programming, and other organizational initiatives as assigned

Requirements
Preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Recreation Management, Human Services, Education, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities
  • Experience supervising teams in recreation, residential, camp, or human service settings
  • CPR, First Aid, and AED certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)
  • Experience with program planning, scheduling, and budget management
