What you'll be doing

CIBC's Commercial Banking Cash Management team helps businesses reach their full potential by delivering flexible cash management solutions, dedicated business expertise and timely advice to help our clients realize their goals. As a Manager, Cash Management, you will focus on the development and growth of a portfolio of treasury and cash management intensive companies by working with CEO's, CFO's and Treasurers to understand their business requirements and present cash management solutions to meet their needs. You'll work directly with clients and prospects to perform needs analysis, develop solutions related to payments and transactions, and conclude the sale of the solution.

How you'll succeed

  • Relationship building - Make an impact in your community and show clients they're appreciated by engaging in marketing and outreach activities. Actively monitor and manage the relationship with a client by fully understanding their goals, objectives and status of the client's business.

  • Business development - Develop new client relationships through your business development activities, leveraging referral sources, existing clients and centers of influence. Identify and actively call on prospective clients.

  • Teamwork - Work with your team as well as other internal partners to connect clients with opportunities. Provide guidance for your clients by leveraging documentation of cash management solutions that meets their needs. Work with the Commercial Banking Relationship Managers and other internal partners to maximize sales opportunities.

  • Deliver solutions - Proactively assess your clients' treasury and cash management needs and propose solutions to deliver to meet those needs. Provide continued partnership and support to your clients through understanding their goals and objectives. Communicate with your clients in order to find the right solutions.

  • You can demonstrate experience in Commercial Banking cash management (at least 3 years).You have experience with treasury and cash management functions (payments & transactions) within mid-market and larger organizations.

  • You have a degree/diploma in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field. It would be an asset if you have the Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) designation.
