Role Summary:

Theย Seniorย Director,ย Program Managementย (PM)ย isย aย critical role within the cross-functional development teamย responsible forย facilitatingย andย driving execution across the wide spectrum of activitiesย requiredย for successful development of one or more molecules. ย Theย PMย partnersย closelyย withย theย Program Team Leader (PTL) andย functional subject matter experts to ensure that plans are in place withย appropriate detailย and risk awarenessย toย assureย successful achievement of the goals of the development team.ย ย Theย PMย ensures integrationย ofย theseย detailed functional plansย into a holistic,ย cohesive,ย and comprehensiveย program plan that achieves the strategic goals of theย development program. ย Given the inherent uncertainty associated with drug development in rare disorders,ย the PMย maintainsย an agile mindsetย in order toย effectively incorporate and react toย emerging data andย course correctย asย conditions dictate.ย ย Working inย closeย partnership withย theย PTL, the PMย effectively frames andย facilitatesย discussionsย withย team members and external expertsย toย elicitย clearย recommendations and decisionsย by fully engaging with team members to consider multiple options withย a focus onย impact on quality, time,ย and cost. ย Theirย influenceย and engagement skills allow them toย work withย a highly motivated team and manage stakeholdersย at all levels of the company.ย ย

Primary Responsibilitiesย Include:ย 

  • Leadย the operations ofย one or moreย high performing cross-functional teams, with focus on both the "what",ย such as priorities,ย goal achievement, and resources, and the "how" ofย maintainingย aย challenging, collaborative, and sustainable team environmentย 
  • Partner with the PTL toย identifyย short, medium, and long-term team prioritiesย and propose path to addressย 
  • Driveย execution ofย the establishedย andย aligned Program vision and strategy for bringing a life-changing medicine to patients in needย 
  • Facilitateย creationย & maintenance of core program strategy documents includingย Targetย Productย Profileย (TPP), Clinical Development Plan, Regulatory Strategy, and Supply Strategyย in collaboration with cross-functional representativesย ย 
  • Ensureย that non-clinical, clinical, regulatory, and commercializationย strategies and plans are aligned with the TPP and the overall Program Strategyย 
  • Inspire development of an efficient plan toย achieve developmentย and commercializationย strategy,ย optimizingย for quality,ย speedย and costย 
  • Ensure that program decisions are made inย a timely,ย clearย and efficient manner through interactions with the PTL, Program Team members, governanceย forumsย and other key stakeholdersย 
  • Accountable forย creation and maintenance ofย detailedย cross-functionalย plans and effective visual summaries thereofย toย instillย awareness,ย buildย accountability andย facilitateย achievementย ย 
  • Maintain clear and open communication withย Programย Team,ย Dyne Senior Leadership,ย and other stakeholdersย regardingย program status, priorities,ย risksย and needs, andย facilitateย appropriate strategicย decision-makingย 
  • Partner with Head of Program Management to evolve Program Management discipline to meet needs of a growing organization that intends to launch a portfolio of disease productsย 
  • Keep abreast of emerging developmentsย regardingย research and development in the fields of muscle diseases and oligonucleotide drug discovery and developmentย 
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, discovery, andย cutting-edgeย research culture focused on scientific excellence, open communication, and continual improvementย 

Education and Skillsย Requirements:ย 

Proven and respected teamย memberย with:ย ย ย 

  • Bachelor's degree in science or related field;ย Advancedย degree in a scientific discipline or MBAย preferredย 
  • 15+ย years ofย relevantย experience inย biotech/pharmaceutical industry in positionsย of increasing responsibilityย in drug developmentย ย 
  • Experience with late-stage clinical development and commercial stageย programsย requiredย 
  • Experience with neuromuscular diseases a plusย 
  • Exceptionalย communication skills (verbal, written, presentation) and ability to communicate with across a broad group ofย stakeholders and teamsย 
  • Proficient withย Microsoft Office 365ย applications,ย Smartsheet and other PM management workspace collaboration toolsย 
  • Expert atย cross-functionalย teamworkย and influencing without direct authorityย 
  • Demonstrated experience inย working withย highly effective teams and guiding teams and organizations in making complex and high-stakes data-driven decisionsย
