Job description

Position Summary...This role leads the operational execution of Walmart Canada Marketplace's Payments, Risk, and Tax programs. The Senior Manager partners across Product, Engineering, Global Payments, Global Risk, Tax, Finance, and external PSPs to ensure accurate and timely seller payouts, effective risk enforcement, and compliance with Canadian regulatory requirements. The role drives cross functional alignment, resolves high impact escalations, and enables scalable processes that improve the seller experience.What you'll do...

Key Responsibilities

Payments Operations

  • Lead daily payment operations for CA sellers across Payoneer, PingPong, Airwallex, and JPMorgan.
  • Oversee PSP onboarding, vendor setup, payment flow discovery, and crossmarket alignment.
  • Manage payout defects, returned transactions, payout limits, and operational escalations.
  • Support launch readiness for new PSP features through UAT planning and cross-functional coordination.

Risk Operations

  • Execute risk programs including seller suppressions, appeals workflows, linkage investigations, and enforcement alignment.
  • Maintain and update reason codes and operational documentation.
  • Partner with Global Risk to support fraud detection, item limits, and multimarket enforcement initiatives.

Tax & Compliance

  • Liaise with Tax on ecofee compliance, Quebec PSP rules, and provincial reporting requirements.
  • Ensure sellers receive accurate and timely instructions for taxrelated documentation and verification.

Program & Stakeholder Management

  • Develop BRDs and business cases for payments, risk, and compliance initiatives.
  • Align stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Support, Global teams, and external PSP partners.
  • Represent CA Marketplace in recurring operational and crossfunctional working groups.

Seller Escalation Support

  • Manage highurgency payout, PSP, documentation, and compliance escalations.
  • Provide teams with clear workflows, templates, and escalation paths to resolve seller issues.

Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of experience in Marketplace, Payments, Risk, Compliance, or Operations.
  • Strong understanding of PSPs, banking flows, risk signals, and regulatory obligations.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional programs and drive operational outcomes.
  • Excellent written communication and documentation skills.
