As a people manager and program leader within CNN's Digital Program Management Office, you will partner closely with Product, Tech, Design (PTD) and Program Operations leaders to translate group-level strategy into a unified roadmap, establish clear ways of working across teams, and ensure consistent delivery against business priorities. You will oversee complex, multi-quarter initiatives, drive OKR alignment and reporting, manage cross-team dependencies, and provide leadership visibility into progress, risks, tradeoffs, and investment decisions.

Key Responsibilities

People Leadership & Team Management

Lead, coach, and develop a team of program managers supporting the Revenue & Growth vertical, establishing clear priorities, role clarity, and consistent execution expectations to elevate delivery maturity and operational efficiency.

Build a high-performing team culture focused on accountability, operational rigor, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Allocate program management support based on strategic priorities, delivery needs, and team capacity.

Program Scope & Ownership

Own output, tracking, and reporting across the Revenue & Growth program portfolio, ensuring visibility into delivery progress, milestones, risks, and dependencies.

Translate group-level planning into a unified roadmap that aligns product, technology, and design investments with organizational priorities and measurable business outcomes.

Define initiatives with clear scope, success measures, sequencing, and cross-team dependencies across multiple squads and workstreams.

Cross-Functional Leadership

Serve as the primary coordination point across Product, Tech, Design, and Program Operations leaders for the Revenue & Growth area.

Partner with PTD leads to establish, evolve, and operationalize effective ways of working across squads and workstreams.

Lead continuous planning and alignment across teams, influencing decisions and driving clarity across stakeholder groups without relying solely on direct authority.

Operational Governance & Execution Management

Establish and enforce governance models, operating rhythms, and standardized workflows that support predictable delivery and effective decision-making.

Monitor execution across squads, ensuring adoption of global workflows, OKRs, and operational standards in partnership with Program Operations.

Build and maintain area-level workstreams that clarify ownership, surface risks early, and enable teams to manage interdependencies proactively.

Strategic Alignment & Measurement

Lead OKR creation, alignment, and tracking across Product, Tech, and Design for the Revenue & Growth vertical.

Use financial modeling and business context to support prioritization, investment decisions, and long-range planning.

Provide data-driven insights and executive-level reporting to guide decision-making and ensure program-level impact.

Qualifications

  • Experience managing and developing program managers or related roles, with a demonstrated ability to build high-performing teams.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Program & Operational Leadership

  • Proven success owning portfolio-level planning, roadmap alignment, governance, and execution across multiple teams or squads.

  • Strong experience establishing operating models, ways of working, and reporting mechanisms that improve delivery consistency and transparency.

  • Ability to manage complex, multi-quarter planning cycles with significant cross-team dependencies and evolving business priorities.

Strategic & Analytical Skills

  • Experience leading OKR development, performance tracking, and executive reporting across Product, Tech, and Design organizations.

  • Comfortable using data, metrics, and financial modeling to support prioritization, tradeoff discussions, and investment planning.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify risks early, make sound recommendations, and drive resolution in ambiguous environments.

Leadership & Communication

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and align diverse stakeholder groups.

  • Demonstrated people leadership, including coaching, performance management, and creating an inclusive, high-accountability team environment.

  • Ability to operate with high autonomy while balancing strategic thinking and hands-on execution.
