Job Description:

L3Harris Modernization and Maintenance Group (MMG) is searching for a motivated and energetic Program Manager (PM) to contribute to the success of the Avionics, Modification and Maintenance (AM&M) business area.ย  This position includes support for programs in the execution phase, as well as providing support to pursuit/capture opportunities.ย  This Program Manager (PM) position has responsibility for working with the program team to lead modification and maintenance efforts across a variety of platforms. This includes the responsibility for proposal preparation and negotiation, preparation of component SOWs and specifications, and contract performance (cost, schedule, and quality).

Essential Functions:

  • The candidate will be responsible for the cost, schedule, and technical performance of aircraft modification and maintenance contract(s) within the AM&M Programs Business Area.
  • Participate in the negotiation of contract(s) and contract changes.
  • Coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements, and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract.
  • Acts as a customer contact for AM&M efforts, supporting/leading program review sessions with leadership and/or customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance.
  • In concert with Integrated Program Team (IPT), establishes business concepts, criteria, and critical tasks to ensure contract meets/ exceeds operational and financial goals.
  • Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program/ logistics/ process problems, and develops/obtains solutions in line with program, mission, and company goals. ย ย 
  • Coordinates taskings, planning, and scheduling of requirements with the Functional Groups, Project Engineering, Engineering, and Finance representatives assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing, and administrative areas.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience or a Graduate Degree with a minimum of 10 years of experience. In lieu of a degree, 16 years of relevant experience.ย

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance access. Active clearance preferred.
  • Previous aerospace, DOD, Air Force, or production operations experience is highly desirable.
  • Ability to manage multiple and competing deadlines.
  • Must be able to work directly and professionally with the Customer, Company Senior Leadership, and all Functional Groups (i.e. operations, engineering, supply chain).
  • Experience in driving results over a multi-functional/ multi-discipline team in a fast pasted dynamic environment.
  • Self motivated, with the ability to work independently and have a strong sense of teamwork.
  • Experience in driving solutions over a multi-functional/ multi-discipline team in a fast pasted dynamic environment.
  • Qualified applicant will possess excellent managerial and leadership skills.
