Electronics Service Technician

Rio Marine is expanding in the locations listed below. Responsibilities:

  • Trouble shoot and diagnose all levels of electronic systems
  1. Radar
  2. VHF and MF/HF
  3. AIS
  4. Computer systems
  5. Camera systems
  6. GPS
  7. 12VDC and 24VDC power systems
  • Must know how to use multi-meter/ amp meter/ megger
  • Terminate all types of electronic equipment
  • Read all types of prints
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspecting of communication and navigation equipment
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new equipment and manufactures
  • Manage projects as assigned
  • On-call for a (7) seven-day period
  • Travel occasionally for the company to work at other locations
  • Insure all of Rio Marine’s safety and operational policies are followed
  • Rio Marine is a 24 hour a day 7 day a week operation and overtime is required.

Qualifications:

  1. Education
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  1. Physical
  • Ability to lift and carry 50lbs for extended distances
  • Ability to work in all adverse weather condition
  • Ability to climb ladders, stairs and gangways up to 25 feet in height
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch and work above head for extended periods of time
  • Ability to operate Rio Marine vehicles in a safe and courteous manner
  1. Personal Background
  • Must be capable of acquiring valid TWIC
  • Must have valid driver license
  • Must have clean driving record with no DWI convictions
  • Must pass a criminal background check
  • Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol test
