Wireless Assessment Technician

Position Summary

The Wireless Assessment Technician provides onsite survey and data collection support for enterprise wireless readiness engagements. This role executes physical site surveys, captures wireless performance data, assists with RF testing activities, and supports the Senior Wireless Engineer in developing wireless readiness deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct onsite wireless survey activities across multiple facilities.

Perform floor-by-floor assessment walks using Ekahau Sidekick equipment.

Collect active and passive wireless data.

Capture RF spectrum information and document interference sources.

Execute directed testing procedures for coverage validation.

Assist in throughput and roaming tests utilizing iPerf3.

Document access point locations, equipment inventories, and physical installation conditions.

Verify facility floorplans and mapping accuracy.

Record observations, site constraints, and potential wireless performance risks.

Assist with heatmap generation and survey file management.

Support installation validation and remediation verification activities.

Maintain detailed field documentation and quality control standards.

Collaborate with client facilities and IT personnel during onsite engagements.

Ekahau survey experience.

CWNA certification or coursework.

Experience supporting wireless deployments.

Familiarity with Epic readiness projects.

Experience using handheld survey and testing equipment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $35.00/hr.
