Job description

RMB Products is seeking an Inside Sales Engineer who drives revenue growth by managing relationships with prospective and established accounts. Based in the office with 10% travel, this role owns inbound and outbound sales support, pipeline management, and cross-functional coordination between engineering, sales, and production teams. This position is designed for an ambitious professional looking for a growth opportunity through expanding their responsibilities & scope.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

This position includes the following essential functions but is not limited to them. Additional duties may be assigned:

  • Accurately and timely process incoming RFQs and leads
  • Coordinate with external and internal sales, engineering, and operations teams to gather scope information for opportunities and quotations
  • Submit quotations to customers and proactively follow-up to track status
  • Bridge communication between teams (engineering, sales, operations, customer service) to ensure alignment of customer requirements through order fulfillment
  • Maintain and record all sales activities, including pipeline, opportunity status, internal/external communications, and reporting KPIs within required systems
  • Identify new business opportunities within existing accounts through proactive outreach and relationship building
  • Participate in internal project and new product development meetings to support customer requirements when needed
  • Manage customer portals to retrieve RFQs and upload documentation
  • Support the sales and leadership team with reporting, forecasting, and sales functions


Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Polymer Science or related fields or equivalent experience

Experience:

  • New graduate or ~2 years of inside sales, sales support, engineer, or military experience is required
  • Manufacturing, aerospace, semiconductor, or technical industries experience preferred


Required Skills:

  • Analytical mindset with keen attention to detail to interpret data and drive decisions
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings & specifications is a plus
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong customer service orientation and relationship management ability
  • Effectively present ideas, requirements, and results to internal & external departments
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Must maintain the confidentiality of all projects, customers, and techniques
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office. CRM experience is a plus
