Key responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to Operations, Engineering, and Construction for safe and compliant operation of new and existing facilities.

  • Perform engineering analyses, support, and calculations related to MAOP and MOP calculations, class change evaluations, uprate studies, pressure testing, overpressure protection, auditing compliance documentation, and odorization studies as required by 49 CFR 192 and 195.

  • Research and write Special Permit applications involving class changes, retroactive class changes, and other instances requiring deviation from 49 CFR 192 and 195 regulations.

We are currently looking for an Integrity for our Houston, TX office.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
This position is responsible for providing technical support to Operations, Engineering, and Construction for both new and existing facilities to assure safe and compliant operation within BWP. This position represents the company in a professional capacity. This position is responsible for providing engineering analyses, support, and calculations related to the following activities:
โ€ข 49 CFR 192 and 195 MAOP and MOP calculations.
โ€ข 49 CFR 192 Evaluation of MAOP impacts after class changes.
โ€ข 49 CFR 192 Subpart K Uprate studies.
โ€ข 49 CFR 192 Subpart J and 49 CFR 195 Subpart E pressure testing calculations and requirements.
โ€ข 49 CFR 192 Overpressure Protection studies.
โ€ข 49 CFR 192 and 195 Auditing compliance documentation.
โ€ข 49 CFR 192 Odorization studies.
โ€ข Validation of documentation from a Traceable, Verifiable, and Complete (TVC) standpoint.
โ€ข Researching and writing Special Permit applications. These could involve class changes, retroactive class changes, and other instances where BWP seeks deviation from 49 CFR 192 and 195 regulations
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:
โ€ข Ability to read, understand, and apply policies, procedures, guidelines, requirements, and regulations.
โ€ข Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
โ€ข Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
โ€ข Well organized with a high degree of initiative and motivation.
โ€ข Ability to work efficiently and independently with minimal direct supervision.
โ€ข Strong computer applications skills including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.
โ€ข Willing and able to travel up to 15% of time and work in a variety of environments including pipeline and manufacturing facilities.

PREFERRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:
โ€ข Background in natural gas or hazardous liquids pipeline industry.
โ€ข 5+ years experience in Pipeline Safety or Pipeline Integrity
โ€ข Knowledge of Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
โ€ข Knowledge of welding and materials
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
โ€ข BS in Engineering from an ABET accredited University
PREFERRED EDUCATION:
โ€ข Master's degree in related field
