Job description

Personal Care Aide (PCA)

Reports To: RN / LPN / Clinical Supervisor

Authority: Delivers non-skilled personal care and basic support services under licensed supervision.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist with bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, and feeding. Help with ambulation, transfers, and mobility support.
  • Provide companionship and observe client safety.
  • Report changes in condition or environment to supervising nurse.
  • Maintain appropriate documentation.
  • Qualifications:
  • At least 40hour PCA training or approved program required.
  • Licensure/Certifications:
  • PCA certification approved by Virginia DMAS.
  • CPR certification preferred.
  • Education:

    High school diploma or GED preferred.

    Physical Requirements:

    Standing, walking, lifting, turning, and physical support for clients in their homes.
