Job Summary

The Equipment Operator plays an essential role in our warehouse operations and is responsible for operating various types of equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and reach trucks, to handle, transport, and store goods and materials in our warehouse. The Equipment Operator will accurately and safely load and unload trucks, organize and stack materials in designated storage areas, and maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment. Attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and proficiency in equipment operation will contribute to the overall success of our logistics processes, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment of orders and optimal inventory management.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Operate and maneuver equipment such as forklifts, reach truck, order picker, or other machinery as required for specific projects or tasks.
  • Perform equipment pre-operation checks to ensure proper functionality and identify any potential issues or maintenance needs.
  • Follow safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment for yourself, coworkers, and other personnel on the site.
  • Use equipment to load, unload, and transport materials, supplies, or products as required.
  • Follow instructions to perform tasks accurately and efficiently.
  • Monitor equipment performance and report any malfunctions or maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel.
  • Adhere to project schedules and deadlines, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
  • Verify part numbers, quantities, and product descriptions to ensure accurate order fulfillment.
  • Use handheld scanners or other tools to track and update inventory levels.
