Job description

What You'll Do
You'll oversee the day-to-day operations of our service center, including the yard, fleet, and field activity, while partnering closely with the General Manager to improve performance across safety, customer experience, and efficiency.
You'll coordinate routing and dispatch, maintain equipment and facilities, lead safety compliance efforts, and support hiring and development of team members.
What Success Looks Like (First 90 Days)
  • You've assessed current routes and implemented at least one measurable improvement in delivery efficiency or on-time performance
  • All safety certifications, trainings, and compliance requirements are current, tracked, and consistently enforced
  • The yard, fleet, and service center are clean, organized, and fully operational with no major maintenance gaps
  • Team members understand expectations, receive regular feedback, and know how their work connects to broader goals

What You'll Actually Do in Your First 30 Days
  • Shadow drivers and operations staff to understand routing, delivery workflows, and customer expectations
  • Audit safety procedures, certifications, and equipment to identify any compliance risks or gaps
  • Review current routing plans and dispatch processes to spot inefficiencies or quick wins
  • Build relationships with the team and begin participating in hiring, onboarding, and coaching conversations

Must Have
  • Experience overseeing operations in propane, energy, logistics, or a closely related field
  • Working knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards, ideally involving hazardous materials
  • Demonstrated experience leading a team and improving operational performance
  • Ability to manage routing, dispatch, or fleet operations
  • Strong communication skills to work across drivers, leadership, and customers

Nice to Have
  • Experience specifically in propane operations
  • Background in route optimization tools or fleet management systems
  • Experience supporting sales or customer retention efforts
  • Experience conducting safety training or certification programs
  • Track record of improving asset utilization or operational efficiency

Work Environment
This role splits time between the office, yard, and field. You'll regularly be outside inspecting equipment, supporting operations, and working alongside the team in real conditions (including weather and active service environments).

Pay Rate for this role is $80,000-$90,000 (depending on experience) w/ bonus
