Location: Southington, CT (On-Site)

Compensation: $100,000-$130,000 (DOE)

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00am-4:30pm

About This Role

Connecticut Appliance & Fireplace Distributors is seeking a hands-on, results-driven Operations Manager to lead and optimize our daily operations. This role is critical to ensuring seamless coordination across our sales, warehouse, delivery, installation, service, and production teams.

You will be responsible for aligning people, processes, and resources to deliver a high-quality customer experience while maintaining safe, efficient operations. This is an opportunity for a strong leader who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys building structure, accountability, and continuous improvement.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee cross-functional teams including warehouse, delivery, installation, and service
  • Ensure schedules are accurate, jobs are fully prepared, and resources are properly allocated
  • Drive team performance through coaching, accountability, and partnership with HR
  • Oversee warehouse operations, including organization, inventory accuracy, and fleet readiness
  • Maintain and enforce safety standards, operational procedures, and documentation
  • Act as the primary escalation point for operational issues impacting customers or timelines
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce rework
  • Track, analyze, and report key operational metrics to leadership

What We're Looking For:

  • 5+ years of experience in operations, logistics, warehouse, or field service management
  • Proven ability to lead and develop multi-functional teams
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable with hands-on leadership and early morning operations
  • Experience with scheduling systems, inventory management, or ERP platforms
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
  • Valid Driver's license
