Position Purpose:

The Operations Manager at the Company plays a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and accurate management of warehouse functions, including the supervision of drivers, loaders, and warehouse staff. This position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of dispatch operations, inventory control, and customer service to facilitate prompt and precise delivery of products to job sites. By collaborating with the Branch Manager and maintaining strict adherence to safety and operational standards, the Operations Manager supports the seamless execution of branch operations, thereby enhancing operational efficiency and customer satisfaction in alignment with the company's strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct and oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient receipt, storage, and distribution of building materials in alignment with corporate standards.

  • Manage and coordinate the dispatching of trucks to guarantee timely and accurate deliveries to job sites, optimizing routes for safe and effective transportation by properly utilizing SRS routing technology

  • Supervise the loading and unloading processes, ensuring prompt and precise handling of orders for vendors and customers, while maintaining inventory accuracy.

  • Implement and manage comprehensive inventory control measures, including purchasing, weekly cycle counts, pricing strategies, and the evaluation of damaged or outdated stock, to optimize stock levels and reduce waste.

  • Lead and conduct safety audits and meetings to ensure full compliance with company safety standards, fostering a secure and hazard-free work environment.

  • Oversee the maintenance and operational readiness of all logistics equipment, including tractors, trailers, and forklifts, to ensure uninterrupted service delivery.

  • Administer and track work hours for the drivers and warehouse staff to ensure proper task allocation and adherence to labor regulations.

  • Collaborate with the Branch Manager to support overall branch operations, including order processing, end-of-day balancing, and facilitating continuous improvement initiatives across all functional areas.
