Job Title Warehouse Operations Supervisor

Job Summary

The Warehouse Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day functions of warehouse operations, including inbound and outbound freight, staging, dispatch coordination, and delivery execution. This role ensures that warehouse staff and drivers are performing at a high level, that freight is handled safely and accurately, and that operational standards are consistently met. The Warehouse Operations Supervisor plays a hands-on leadership role in a fast-paced logistics environment, driving efficiency, accountability, and compliance across all operational areas.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse & Operations Management

  • Supervise daily warehouse activities including receiving, inbound processing, outbound staging, and dispatch preparation
  • Ensure freight is handled, stored, and staged in accordance with company standards and customer requirements
  • Coordinate warehouse workflow with delivery schedules and driver dispatch to maximize efficiency
  • Verify load accuracy, delivery documentation, and paperwork prior to departure
  • Identify and resolve operational gaps including shortages, damages, and delivery exceptions
  • Monitor throughput, capacity, and workflow to meet daily service targets

Dispatch & Delivery Coordination

  • Coordinate driver schedules, routes, and daily dispatch operations
  • Communicate delivery status updates, delays, and exceptions to internal teams in real time
  • Ensure drivers are properly equipped, documented, and prepared for each delivery
  • Review and confirm proof of delivery (POD) completion and accuracy

Team Supervision & Development

  • Provide day-to-day direction and leadership to warehouse associates and delivery drivers
  • Assist with onboarding, training, and ongoing development of new and existing employees
  • Monitor attendance, performance, and adherence to operational procedures
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement

Safety & Compliance

  • Enforce all safety policies and proper material-handling procedures
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, DOT requirements, and customer-specific standards
  • Report and document incidents, damages, and safety concerns promptly
  • Support internal audits, inspections, and operational reviews as needed

Administrative & Operational Support

  • Complete data entry, order processing, and delivery confirmations accurately and on time
  • Maintain operational records including PODs, damage reports, claims, and delivery logs
  • Prepare daily and weekly operational reports and performance summaries
  • Support billing accuracy, claims documentation, and records management

Qualifications

Required

  • 2–4 years of experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or delivery
  • Demonstrated supervisory or lead experience in an operational setting
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment
  • Basic computer proficiency (email, spreadsheets, internal systems)

Preferred

  • Experience in final-mile, LTL, or 3PL operations
  • Familiarity with WMS, TMS, or POD platforms
  • Experience with dispatch or routing coordination
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus

Work Environment

This position is based out of our warehouse facility in MN. Work is performed in a warehouse environment with frequent interaction with employees, vendors, and internal teams. Some evening and weekend hours may be required.
