RDP Foodservice is seeking an experienced Director of Warehouse Operations to lead our warehouse operations.

This is an outstanding opportunity for a proven operations leader who thrives in a fast-paced distribution environment and is passionate about developing people, improving processes, and driving operational excellence.

The Director of Warehouse Operations is responsible for the overall leadership, direction, and performance of our Inbound and Outbound warehouse operations. This role is responsible for ensuring efficient warehouse operations, inventory accuracy, employee development, safety, productivity, and exceptional customer service while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership for all Inbound and Outbound warehouse operations, including receiving, inventory management, replenishment, order selection, loading, and shipping.
  • Lead, coach, and develop warehouse managers, supervisors, and employees while promoting accountability, teamwork, and employee engagement.
  • Drive operational performance by monitoring productivity, quality, inventory accuracy, safety, and service metrics.
  • Ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment while minimizing errors and product damage.
  • Develop and implement process improvements that increase operational efficiency and support company growth.
  • Maintain compliance with food safety standards, OSHA regulations, and company policies.
  • Partner with Transportation, Purchasing, Sales, Customer Service, and Finance to ensure operational alignment and outstanding customer service.
  • Manage warehouse budgets while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and control costs.
  • Foster a culture focused on safety, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, or a related field preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education and leadership experience will be considered.
  • Minimum of eight years of progressive warehouse leadership experience.
  • Minimum of five years managing warehouse supervisors and leadership teams.
  • Proven success leading both Inbound and Outbound warehouse operations.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory control, labor planning, and distribution operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to improve productivity, employee engagement, safety, and operational performance through effective leadership.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel.
