You bring your mind, body, heart, and spirit to your workย as aย The Manager of Behavioral Health Education will develop, implement, coordinate, and evaluate all aspects of behavioral medicine within the residency program and assist the residency program director in matters related to resident and faculty well-being and professional developย 

As a Manager of Behavioral Health Education you will develop andย Implementย theย behavioralย health curriculum within the St. Joseph Family Medicine Residency Program and facilitate policies and programs that encourage optimal resident and faculty member well-being.ย Responsibilities include:

    • Teaching residents fundamentals of stress management, professionalism, and interpersonal communicationย 

    • overseeing the resident behavioral health rotation

    • Facilitating regular protected support groups within resident classes and organizing leadership development and residency retreatsย 

    • Providing supportive counseling to residents and faculty as well as providing resources, referrals, and appropriate services for family medicine residents and faculty members who require mental health evaluation and behavioral health care.ย 
    • Participating in the selection of applicants to the residency program with special attention to biases in recruitment and interview skillsย 
    • Providing program, faculty and resident evaluation and feedback based on direct observation and video precepting
    • Assisting with remediation of learners in difficulty
    • Providing direct patient care in the clinic settingย 

Your experience.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Preferred: Doctoral degree in Psychology or other behavioral science area related to health education. (ie PhD, PsyD, LCSW, etc)

Minimum: Master's degree in psychology or social work with background in behavioral health

ย Colorado licensed/license eligible. Two years post-doctoral experience in a health care/medical education setting preferred. Previous faculty development/experience desirable.ย ย
