Job description

We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance & Compliance Manager to lead the Quality function within an FDA-regulated medical device manufacturing environment. This individual will be responsible for maintaining an effective Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring regulatory compliance, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and leading a high-performing quality team while partnering closely with cross-functional departments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the Management Representative for the Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with regulatory and customer requirements.

  • Lead Management Review meetings and present quality performance metrics to senior leadership.

  • Plan and conduct internal audits while serving as the primary contact during external regulatory, certification, and customer audits.

  • Maintain compliance with ISO 13485, 21 CFR Part 820, and other applicable quality system regulations.

  • Oversee complaint handling, root cause investigations, CAPA, nonconformance management, and corrective/preventive actions.

  • Manage supplier qualification, evaluation, and ongoing supplier quality performance.

  • Ensure calibration and preventive maintenance programs remain compliant with regulatory requirements.

  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality policies, procedures, work instructions, and quality metrics.

  • Manage Quality Control operations, including incoming, in-process, and final inspections, ensuring timely product release and compliance with established procedures.

  • Review inspection records and ensure all documentation meets quality and regulatory requirements.

  • Partner with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Regulatory teams to drive operational excellence and continuous improvement.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent experience).

  • 10+ years of Quality Assurance/Quality Control experience within the medical device industry.

  • Strong hands-on knowledge of ISO 13485:2016, FDA 21 CFR Part 820, and applicable FDA quality system regulations.

  • Proven experience leading internal and external audits, CAPA programs, complaint handling, nonconformance management, and supplier quality activities.

  • Strong leadership experience with the ability to develop, mentor, and lead quality teams in a manufacturing environment.

  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and GD&T specifications.

  • Excellent analytical, decision-making, problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environment while promoting a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
