About this opportunity

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Payroll and Benefits Administrator to lead payroll processing and benefits administration across the organization. This role ensures accurate, compliant payroll operations while delivering a positive employee experience through effective benefits management and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee end-to-end payroll processing for all employees, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations

  • Manage payroll systems, audits, reconciliations, and reporting, including year-end processing (W-2s, tax filings)

  • Partner with HR and Finance to ensure accurate employee data, compensation changes, and reporting alignment

  • Administer employee benefits programs including health, dental, vision, 401(k), and leave programs, including managing leave of absence (LOA) processes and compliance

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee payroll and benefits inquiries, resolving issues with a high level of customer service

  • Support benefits open enrollment, vendor relationships, and plan renewals

  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws

  • Maintain and improve payroll and benefits processes, controls, and documentation

  • Conduct audits and provide insights on payroll discrepancies, trends, and cost management

  • Assist with HR projects and initiatives related to compensation, benefits, and employee experience

Location and Schedule
  • This is a full-time, office-based position in a modern, cozy environment in our Fort Lauderdale HQ.

  • Our standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM

Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Business, or related field preferred

  • 5+ years of experience in payroll and benefits administration, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead capacity

  • Strong knowledge of payroll regulations, tax compliance, and benefits administration

  • Experience with HRIS and payroll systems

  • High attention to detail, confidentiality, and problem-solving ability

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Must have experience working in the Mortgage Industry

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) certification

  • Experience in multi-state payroll environments

  • Prior experience supporting audits or compliance reviews
