Position Summary   

The General Site Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our site in Fort Saskatchewan, AB ensuring all work is completed safely, on time, and within budget. The individual in this position will work closely with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and client representatives to ensure the successful execution of the project from start to finish. 

Other responsibilities: 

  • Oversee the entire construction site and supervise all activities, ensuring they align with project goals, schedules, and safety standards. 

  • Manage daily operations, including resource allocation, scheduling, and the coordination of subcontractors. 

  • Ensure the proper execution of all construction activities, maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and compliance with regulations. 

  • Monitor progress and provide updates to senior management and clients regarding schedule, budget, and project status. 

  • Direct and mentor the on-site team, fostering a positive and productive work environment. 

  • Collaborate with the project team to address challenges, resolve issues, and make necessary adjustments to keep the project on track. 

  • Ensure all necessary permits and documentation are in place and that work adheres to the relevant regulatory and safety standards. 

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and suppliers on-site. 

Our Ideal Candidate   

  • Minimum of 7+ years of experience in a Site Superintendent role, with a focus on Oil and Gas construction projects & preferred a JM background.
  • Microsoft skilled are required.
  • Proven track record in managing large-scale, complex projects in oil & gas industry. 

  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, project management, and safety regulations. 

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. 

  • Ability to make quick, informed decisions and problem-solve under pressure. 

  • Proficiency with construction management software and tools. 

  • A natural leader and mentor, willing to step in and guide by example, including training on the tools when necessary. 
  • Required safety certifications CSTS 2020, WHMIS 2015, ESC H2S Alive & LSE.
