Job Description:
This position serves as a senior academic leader reporting directly to the Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost. This position will provide strategic oversight and operational leadership for institutional academic operates including budget, personnel, planning, communications and Administrative coordination across academic units.
The role ensures alignment of academic initiatives with institutional priorities while enabling efficient, data informed decision-making. The position supervises key administrative and professional staff to support the effective functioning of the Provost Office.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education/experience/licensing:
• Bachelor's degree in related field required in lieu of education, ten (10) years of relevant experience may be considered.
• Five to ten (5-10) years of administrative higher education and supervising staff experience required.
• Understanding of University systems, institutional policies and processes, financial processes as well as rules, regulations, and best practices.
Communication and other skills:
• Software skills essential to perform job duties include Microsoft Office Suite products with an expert ability in database query and ability to understand and utilize university reporting programs.
• Individual must be an industrious self-starter and should possess strong organizational skills, interpersonal skills, and be an excellent motivator and team worker.
• Ability to work and communicate with various individuals from a broad spectrum of disciplines, technical and educational backgrounds within the college and university and with individuals outside the university.
• Professional and effective oral and written communication skills; strong writing and editing skills, must demonstrate the ability to effectively and accurately relay information.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously is essential, while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent problem-solving skills; must demonstrate sound judgement and effective decision making; ability to identify and implement alternative resolutions and strategies; effective conflict management skills.
• Ability to work with sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.
• Must demonstrate flexibility and ability to work under pressure; must be able and willing to work in a fast-paced, changing environment and conform to shifting priorities, demands and timeline.
• Demonstrated integrity and a commitment to personal/business ethics.
