Position Overview

Life Point Physical Therapy is actively seeking a dedicated Full-Time Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team in Appomattox, Virginia. This role is integral to our commitment to restoring movement and improving the quality of life for our patients. As a Physical Therapist in our home care setting, you will be responsible for delivering evidence-based therapies to patients, enhancing their mobility and functionality.

Work Environment

This position offers a full-time work schedule from Monday to Friday, between the hours of 9 am and 5 pm. As an onsite therapist primarily operating in home care, you will have the unique opportunity to work closely with patients in their environments, offering tailored care that addresses their specific needs. Home visits will allow you to assess and adapt therapy plans in real-time, ensuring maximum effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and assess patient needs to create individualized treatment plans aimed at enhancing motion and functionality.
  • Manage a consistent caseload, seeing one patient per hour, ensuring each session is personalized and focused on their unique rehabilitation goals.
  • Utilize effective treatment modalities and manual therapy techniques to promote recovery and mobility.
  • Encourage patients to adopt non-surgical and cost-effective treatment options that minimize reliance on medications.
  • Document all patient interactions and treatment outcomes thoroughly, adhering to best practices in patient care.
  • Monitor and re-evaluate patientsโ€™ progress, adjusting treatment approaches as necessary to optimize recovery.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver holistic care that addresses both physical and psychosocial factors in our patients' recovery processes.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary patient demographic consists of individuals with orthopedic conditions, requiring specialized rehabilitation services following surgery, injuries, or chronic pain. By utilizing a home care model, we are dedicated to providing accessible and effective therapy that meets patients in their daily lives and enhances their recovery process.

Qualifications
  • Must hold a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) and possess a current license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Virginia.
  • Maintain a clean professional record with no disciplinary actions against your license.
  • Proven expertise in manual therapy techniques and understanding of exercise protocols.
  • Comfortable using physical therapy EMR systems, particularly WebPT, for documentation and patient management.
Preferred Experience
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and implementing patient-centered care plans.
  • Experience in home care rehabilitation practices is a plus.
Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges between USD 100,000 and 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
