Senior Manager of Learning and Development

Southwest Mobile Storage Inc,. specializes in modifying storage containers for sale or lease. We are seeking a reliable, self-motivated Senior Manager of Learning and Development. The Senior Manager, Learning & Development is responsible for developing and leading company-wide training programs that support employee growth, leadership development, sales performance, onboarding, and operational excellence. This role partners with business leaders to build a high-performance learning culture and drive measurable business results through effective training and development initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the company's learning and development programs and training strategy.
  • Create and maintain consistent training programs across all locations and departments.
  • Identify employee skill gaps and develop training solutions to improve performance.
  • Design and deliver sales training that supports company sales goals and processes.
  • Help improve sales results through effective training, coaching, and performance support.
  • Develop and manage onboarding programs to help new hires succeed quickly.
  • Ensure a consistent onboarding experience across all locations.
  • Train and develop managers, supervisors, and sales leaders.
  • Provide coaching tools and resources that strengthen leadership and employee performance.
  • Create and deliver training on company systems, tools, and business processes, including CRM platforms.
  • Partner with leaders across the organization to support training and business initiatives.
  • Develop training materials, guides, playbooks, and digital learning resources.
  • Facilitate both in-person and virtual training sessions.
  • Keep training programs and materials current, relevant, and effective.
  • Establish and track training metrics to measure effectiveness and business impact.
  • Analyze results and continuously improve training programs based on feedback and performance outcomes.
  • Other duties as assigned by upper management.

Experience

  • 7+ years in Learning & Development, Sales Training, or Performance Enablement
  • Experience building training programs in a multi-location environment
  • Strong understanding of sales or operational performance drivers
  • Experience with CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot CRM)
  • Experience in construction, logistics, or equipment rental industries
  • Experience supporting high-growth or multi-branch organizations
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
  • Travel 10% to branch locations
