COMPENSATION RATE:ย $57,000 - 65,000 annuallyย ย 

LOCATION:ย 170 N. Dearborn St., Chicago, IL 60601ย (Hybrid Eligible)ย ย ย 

POSITION SUMMARY:ย Manages annual performance and strategic growth of the Goodman Premiere Society, an individual giving circle for annual donors of $3,000 and above, which generates $2,800,000 in annual revenueย and is personallyย responsibleย forย fundraising gifts of $3,000 - $29,000.ย In collaboration with the members of the Goodman Theatre Individual Fundraising team,ย they willย help to raiseย nearly $4 Millionย annually.ย ย ย 

RESPONSIBILITIES:ย 

  • Drive planning and management of Premiere Society giving programs, including production sponsorships, to secure annual goals between $2.5 million to $3.2 million each season.ย ย 

  • Maintain a portfolio of prospects with annual giving potential in the range of $3,000-$29,000, with a goal of securing between $500,000 and $700,000 in contributions each season.ย ย 

  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop individual giving opportunities for key constituencies, align Premiere Society strategies with grassroots appeals, andย optimizeย use ofย ourย donor and patronย databaseโ€”Goodman Theatre uses Tessitura.ย ย 

  • Createย allย sponsorship, Premiere Society, andย plannedย givingย solicitation materials and collateralย alongside the Director of Individual Giving.ย Drafts andย facilitatesย solicitationย letters, proposals and acknowledgement letters for Goodman leadership, boardย volunteersย and other colleagues in support of fundraising objectives.ย ย ย 

  • Overseeย all related contributor benefits for Production Sponsorship, Premiere Society, and Spotlight Society donors, including special event invitations, donorย perks, donorย listingsย and VIP subscriptions.ย ย 

  • Advisesย Premiere Society Concierge services and collaborates with Development Events Coordinator and Front of House management to manage VIP ticketing and activities in the Goodman Lounge.ย ย ย 

  • Plan andย implementย annual donor stewardship and cultivation eventsย alongside the Development Events Coordinator and Annual Fund Coordinator.ย Thenย routinelyย evaluateย theย effectiveness of these events.ย ย 

  • Administrative contact for Spotlight Society (planning giving donors) and Spotlight Advisory Council (estate planning professionals)ย ย 

  • Provide support for Developmentย Officeย special events.ย ย 

  • Partner with the Director of Individual Giving to manage the planning,ย logistics, and financialย reportingย major donorโ€™s trips and tours.ย ย ย 

  • Other duties as assigned.ย 

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:ย ย 

  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 3-5ย yearsย progressive experience in non-profit fundraising.ย ย 

  • At least 3ย yearsโ€™ย direct experience with personal, one-on-one cultivation and solicitation of individual donors.

  • Possesses the demonstrated ability toย establishย solid donor relationships and secure major gifts and a provenย track recordย in meeting fundraising goals.ย ย 

  • Previousย experience working withย high-levelย volunteers and ease of working in an environment with a broad range of personalitiesย ย 

  • Strong strategic acumen; ability to process research and create solicitation strategies; articulate strategies to volunteers;ย execute strategies with donors (on a one-on-one basis and in partnership with volunteers).ย ย 

  • Experience managing fundraising projects, such asย special events, mass mailings, and/or process designย ย ย 

  • Exceptional interpersonal, writing, and presentation skillsย withย highย level of professionalism and integrity.ย ย 

  • Team player with superior organizational, analytical,ย computerย and database skills. Experience and comfort with Excel and Tessitura (or other comparableย fundraisingย database)ย isย required.ย ย
