Position Summary
The Financial Reporting Manager will be hybrid in Glen Allen, VA. We are seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Financial Reporting Manager to oversee our financial reporting preparation. This role is responsible for monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting and other ad hoc accounting requests. The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of US GAAP and accounting research experience.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting
  • Prepare monthly reporting package including balance sheet, income statement, and cash flows
  • Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements including footnotes
  • Coordinate reviews and annual audit with external auditors
  • Assist in the adoption of new accounting pronouncements
  • Perform accounting research and analysis as needed and serve as a technical accounting resource for the Company
  • Assist in preparation and review of 401k and statutory financial statements

Accounting
  • Assist in the monthly accounting close process for certain corporate accounting areas
  • Support special projects as needed, such as financial system implementations

Qualifications
  • 5 years of public accounting and/or financial reporting experience, preferably in a multinational environment that is either publicly traded or private equity backed
  • Big 4 experience is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of General Accepted Accounting Principles
  • Experience with Hyperion Financial Management is a plus
  • Excellent analytical, critical-thinking, communication, and leadership skills

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • CPA required
