Job description

Job Title: Director of Estimating - Electrical
Our Client is seeking an experienced Director of Estimating to lead their preconstruction and estimating operations. This role will oversee bid strategy, estimating processes, team development, and client relationships across commercial electrical construction projects. This is a great promotional opportunity for a high performer in a larger firm, or an experienced & well connected go getter, looking to move up in title & responsibility.

Responsibilities
  • Lead all estimating and preconstruction activities
  • Manage estimating team workload and bid schedules
  • Review drawings, specifications, and bid packages
  • Develop conceptual and detailed estimates
  • Coordinate with project management and operations teams
  • Build relationships with GCs, developers, and owners
  • Improve estimating systems and standards
  • Mentor junior estimators
Qualifications
  • 10+ years commercial electrical estimating experience
  • Leadership experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of commercial electrical construction
  • Experience with Accubid or similar estimating software
  • Design-build experience preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple large bids simultaneously
