In Office Position - Monday-Friday
Position Overview
The Donor Resources Manager manages the Donor Resources Department, for the assigned division, in order to align production opportunities with need to reach organizational goals and efficiencies. This position works with the Account Managers and the Donor Resources Recruiters to supervise the rebooking, planning and logistics of blood drives to facilitate goal-making aligned with inventory and usage projections. This position regularly exercises discretion and judgement in performance of duties and evaluates metrics of each reporting staff member and manages appropriately. The Donor Resources Manager will represent TBC as a role model that positively reflects the values, ethics, and culture of the organization. This position requires the ability to handle difficult situations and ways to arrive at an agreement amongst diverse groups of stakeholders.
Essential Functions
Administrative/Managerial:
  • Maintains awareness of current events and trends in the blood industry
  • Directs Account Managers and Recruiters for the division in the performance of duties
  • Works with the Donor Resources Business Development Manager to ensure the blood drive calendar is completed by the set deadline weekly
  • Works with the Donor Resources Business Development Manager to assign openings in the blood drive calendar to the Account Managers and follows up as needed to ensure a full schedule
  • Provides motivation and development for subordinates
  • Develops leaders throughout the organization by being a role model of high leadership behaviors and through the implementation of leadership development opportunities
  • Has ability to analyze excel reports and interpret data
  • Reviews the scheduled blood drives in advance to evaluate and maintain efficiencies and accurate goals
  • Works directly with all departments to achieve efficiency, accuracy, and monthly goal
  • Tracks the monthly goals and sets expectations for the Account Managers
  • Monitors each Account Manager for goal-making metrics and assigns their schedule
  • Manages each Recruiter for goal-making metrics and assigns their schedule
  • Schedules, interviews, and selects appropriate candidates for department positions with the assistance of the Director of Donor Resources
  • Works closely with Donor Services to ensure changes are communicated and updated in a timely manner
  • Recognizes and has the ability/agility to make changes to blood drives when need dictates
  • Develops an extensive working knowledge of the HemaTerra Technologies product suite
  • Supports the growth of the company by promoting HemaConnect donor recruitment software through public relations activities, onsite coordinator training, presentations, and hands-on relationships

Recruitment:
  • Implements strategies to facilitate staff to retain and manage sponsor organizations
  • Creates new and imaginative approaches for developing successful recruitment and operational strategies
  • Shows a willingness to question traditional assumptions and modes of operation
  • Performs blood drive on-site visits
  • Routinely calls or visits blood drive coordinators to assess Account Managers performance
  • Performs quality checks to ensure that all essential information in HemaCollect is correct and timely
  • Assists Account Managers with rebooking and retaining blood drives on the calendar
  • Assists with customer service follow up with blood drive coordinators
  • Other duties as assigned or required

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or three plus years of blood banking experience or three plus years of proven outside sales experience in a service relation industry
  • Outside sales, marketing, or customer service experience required
  • Valid Driver's License with no major infractions and dependable transportation
  • Ability to communicate effectively, tactfully, and courteously to patrons, donors, sponsors, and co-workers
  • Ability to organize and prioritize workload and meet deadlines
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills
  • Strong computer skills including intermediate skill level with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work with all levels and in a diverse work environment
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, management, and peers
