Manager of Data Analytics

Job Duties

Pray, Inc. dba Pray.com in Westlake Village, CA is seeking a Manager of Data Analytics to create and organize systems to store and secure data.

Job responsibilities and duties include:

  • Evaluate disparate data warehousing and extraction, transformation and loading (ETL) solutions to determine the best technology and solutions for the analysis needs of our business.
  • Analyze the sizing of data, volume of queries and frequency of data updates via ETL.
  • Design data warehouse and data pipelines ensuring data integrity between systems is maintained; deploying statistical controls that monitor data and metrics from internal and external systems to identify data integrity issues automatically.
  • Architect, build, and launch new data models that provide intuitive analytics to design, product and executives based on business processes and business requirements.
  • Leverage programming languages such as Python and others to connect to application programming interfaces (APIs) in order to facilitate and integrate data for analysis and modeling purposes.
  • Ensure connections to APIs have technical documentation in order to facilitate maintenance and updates to these connection.
  • Responsible for scaling, supporting, and executing on data analytics initiatives and support for analytical insights for business decisions.
  • Work closely with our engineering, product, and systems ops teams to ensure ongoing health of the company's data infrastructure as well as data governance support.

This position supervises the work of two other employees, including Data Analysts, but does NOT involve any management (i.e., hiring, termination, discipline, compensation, or performance reviews)

Minimum requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or any related IT or Engineering field of study plus at least five (5) years of post‑degree progressively responsible experience in any related positions in which the required experience was gained. Employer will accept a foreign degree.

Qualified applicants must have demonstrable proficiency, knowledge, skill, or experience with the following:

  • Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining data pipelines and data analytic systems.
  • Demonstrated experience modeling data analytics solutions for business decisions or client sales/support (reports, analysis, and dashboards).
  • Demonstrated experience integrating and managing data supply pipelines with current software infrastructure.
  • Demonstrated experience performing exploratory analysis on data to find issues or trends.
  • Demonstrated experience curating and annotating proprietary datasets.
  • Demonstrated experience building, evaluating, and supporting data analytics and machine learning models.
