Consulting, Investment Banking or Private Equity experience required

Job Purpose:

In 2017, Shields created the Strategic Operations team to work directly with Executive Leadership team on cross functional projects including operational improvement initiatives, business development opportunities and new business innovation ideas. The team serves as a cross-functional introduction to the Company and provides opportunities to gain access to the core executive team and making a lasting impact on the Company. Members of the Strategic Operations team have the opportunity to experience every aspect of the Company before finding a functional leadership role or leading a new growth initiatives. 

This will be a very hands-on and analytical role. Strategic Operations professionals will be expected to manage cross-functional projects through completion and support the initiatives with data-driven insights. The ideal candidate will be a great communicator with outstanding interpersonal skills, highly resourceful, strong analytical skills and possess the ability to work comfortably inside a highly entrepreneurial environment that is very results-oriented. 

Job Duties:

  • Work directly with the Executive Leadership Team to execute on key business priorities & corporate strategies
    • Assist in facilitating effective decision-making through analysis and execution of strategic projects
    • Support the execution of operational and strategic initiatives
    • Assess inquiries directed to the C-Suite, determine the proper course of action and delegate to the appropriate individual
    • Organize and prioritize critical issues and required information for the C-Suite to facilitate efficient decision making
  • Work directly with the Regional Operations teams to identify and execute on site-level growth initiatives
    • Develop detailed financial models for existing partners and new business opportunities
    • Facilitate partner facing discussions & collaboration
  • Manage cross-functional growth and optimization projects
  • Act as key member of the in-house strategy team to drive existing client growth and new business opportunities
  • Proactively pursue ancillary business and growth opportunities

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Entrepreneurial attitude - willingness to roll up his/her sleeves and work alongside staff to make things happen quickly.
  • Must be highly motivated, results-driven professional who can thrive in a team-oriented environment
  • Experience in summarizing and presenting Company results in formal Management or Board of Director settings, preferably in investment banking, private equity or venture-backed environments
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, including financial modeling and data visualization
  • Analytically oriented; makes and defends decisions based on hard data
  • Hard worker and self-starter who is able to work independently, with limited oversight from managers
  • Effective at multi-tasking; someone who enjoys and thrives wearing multiple hats at once
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Enthusiastic and service-oriented
  • Strategic Operations professionals will likely travel 25% of their time, meeting with customers, site leaders, operational employees, pharmacists and clinical staff

Job Salary: 

Range between $130,000 to $150,000.
