What is this career opportunity?
The State Procurement Services Division is seeking an Operations Manager to provide operational leadership for the state's centralized procurement office, overseeing enterprise-facing support functions including procurement systems administration, help desk services, statewide purchasing card (PCard) program oversight, enterprise compliance reviews and training. This position reports directly to the Division Administrator and directly supervises six positions.

        Coordinate multiple operational functions (e.g., systems, help desk, training, or policy/program oversight) in a public or regulated environment.

        Supervision of staff, including assigning work, coaching, and evaluating performance.

        Knowledge of public procurement practices, including applying laws, rules, and policies to procurement decisions.

        Leading IT staff who administer procurement systems and provide customer support.

        Analize data and processes to identify issues, improve efficiency, and strengthen internal controls.

        Strong written and verbal communication, with a customer service and relationshipbuilding focus.
