Job description

Experienced operations and business leader needed to drive the operations team for the production and supply of highly complex and technical products for use in Nuclear Power Plants. Responsibilities include an intense focus on meeting customer needs in a demanding regulatory environment, leading and coordinating all manufacturing operations across the site, ensuring the site functions at peak efficiency with proper communications and interfaces, developing the operations and manufacturing leadership teams while ensuring on-time delivery of high-quality products which are in compliance with all applicable customer, business and regulatory requirements.
The main goal of this position is to ensure that Mirion Technologies customers receive the highest quality products, on time, and in an efficient manner. To achieve this requires a highly motivated workforce which pays strict attention to detail, can identify, develop and implement robust harmonized processes and procedures along with methods to ensure procedural compliance. The successful candidate must be able to create and maintain a culture that is demonstrated by every employee, every day which shows a stringent commitment to quality, assurance of supply to customers, self-motivation, and a dedication to continuous improvement.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Holds the overall responsibility for defining and communicating the vision, mission, and operational objectives for the local operations team.
  • Accountable for the overall financial performance of the operations team, focusing on revenue recognition, cost management, working capital management, and cash flow objectives.
  • Acts as the principal safety agent for the site to ensure a safe work culture is maintained.
  • Serves as the chief Customer Advocate in resolving prioritization issues and ensures site is delivering a positive customer experience.
  • Participate in the strategic planning for the organization, as it relates to the Production Operations and the implementation of strategic goals and objectives.
  • Sees that production budgets, schedules, and performance standards are realistically set and attained.
  • Participate in the selection of and approval of expenditures for capital equipment within budgetary and corporate guidelines.
  • Manage the day-to-day activities of the Production Operations teams, overseeing that work is accomplished by the managers and supervisors, and that it is consistent with corporate policies and objectives.
  • Partners with the quality leads at the site to ensure that the site quality culture is solidly based on process controls and continuous improvement, and that production is executed in accordance with applicable safety protocol, regulatory requirements, internal standards and customer requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement and standard work across all organizational elements using Key Performance Indicator metrics formats, balanced scorecards, and other systems for KPI measurement, communication and accountability.
  • Develop, administer and maintain continuous improvement and lean methodologies for areas under direct control.
  • Plans and recommends investments to drive cost reduction, productivity improvement, and process controls to ensure quality of all products.
  • Oversee that the inventory management is consistent with sales, cash flow and financial goals.
  • Leads the sourcing team to maintain cost-efficient availability of materials and supplies, and achievement of inventory objectives to meet working capital goals.
  • Consistently demonstrates Role Model Leadership, and assists the Human Resources function in developing and executing sound HR programs that drive workforce. motivation and employee allegiance, and meet the Company’s goal of being An Employer of Choice.
  • Carries the end responsibility for Communications Programs, and is accountable for conducting Quarterly Town Hall Meetings in accordance with Company policy.
  • Continuously responsible for working and leading in a collaborative manner and promoting cross-functional teamwork and business efficiency while maintaining superior levels of customer service.
  • Follows all company policies and procedures, including but not limited to Global Code of Business Principles, Code of Ethics and Business Conduct, Operational Framework.
  • Promotes a high standard of ethical behavior and adherence to the Group’s core values, and to promote a culture of honesty and integrity.
  • Other duties/responsibilities as assigned by the Division Vice President.
  • All employees are expected to comply with government and corporate laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.

      SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

      • Site leadership team direct report for Manufacturing, Engineering, Planning, Sales, Procurement and Quality Assurance with dotted line relationships for Finance, HR and Information Systems.

      EDUCATION

      • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Manufacturing or other related discipline.
      • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification highly desired.

        EXPERIENCE

        • Minimum 10 years of applicable industry experience including manufacturing operations.
